This bundle brings together two of the most defining records from my years performing as Black Swift, offering a deep dive into the music, stories, and artwork that shaped that era of my creative life.
A fan favorite and nearly sold-out album, Desert Rain was produced by legendary producer Sylvia Massy (Tool, Tom Petty, Prince, Johnny Cash).
This record is soaked in desert moods and cinematic intensity — inspired by Calexico, Queens of the Stone Age, Tinariwen, Bombino, XIXA, and other artists whose sound carries heat, grit, space, and longing.
Even though I grew up far from the desert, these sounds brought me home to something familiar. They stirred up childhood memories of watching Westerns with my dad, hearing Morricone’s lonely harmonicas, and feeling that sense of wide-open mystery.
The included photo magazine documents this era with photographs, lyrics, and behind-the-scenes glimpses of what it was like recording with Sylvia Massy.
A powerful blend of Post-Punk, Americana, and Rock n Roll, written in response to the fractured political and social climate after Trump was elected.
The album explores themes of equality, empathy, and the essential truth that we all need to see one another as human rather than “the other.”
The accompanying art magazine features original collages I created for each song, plus lyrics, handwritten notes, and a protest poster as the centrefold. It’s bold, emotional, expressive, and one of my most meaningful bodies of work.
